So what type of Star Wars live action would you like to see going forward?
IMO I would like to see more Jedi and Sith, but new characters. The Jedi and Sith conflict is at the heart of Star Wars and there's still so much we don't know about those groups.
Anyway, what would you guys like to see?

If they do Jedi/Sith again, hopefully it will be an entirely different time period not seen in live action before. They've been around for over a thousand generations by the point of Episode 4, but for some reason we keep seeing the same ones...
Star Wars needs to take risks. Try different genres. Get really weird with it. Do a musical. Do a noir film. Do a "biopic" on the creator of Dejarik or a famous pod racer or politician or the Max Rebo Band. Do a comedy. Do a Empire propaganda film. Do a crime story following the rise of the Hutt syndicate that's in tone of the Scorsese gangster movies.
Something different.

I think different is good, but as far afield as a musical would probably be too far. You don't want to lose the audience altogether. The Star Wars lane is sci-fi action adventure. However, the Mandalorian and the animated shows have shown us that "different" in Star Wars can be done. I like your crime story idea, and also they've done a SW Zombie novel that was well received.

I suppose that depends entirely on the characters' viewpoints we're following. A character like Uncle Owen wouldn't be having adventures or much action. Nor would Yoda between Episode 3 and 4. Not that I'm asking for an Uncle Owen or Yoda story haha. These are just examples to say that Star Wars can be more than just action adventure. Would a musical be too far for Star Wars? Maybe. I don't know. George Lucas did manage to have a literal opera in Star Wars - it was only for one scene in Episode 3 - yet he did have it. It didn't feel off. I suppose it depends how a musical would be incorporated into the franchise. Definitely don't have the singing be like the Holiday Special.

For me it's either a Star Wars taking place years before the Skywalker saga or years after the Skywalker saga.

I'd go for years AFTER as I personally prefer moving the narrative FORWARD, as opposed to prequels which just rehash stories we kind've already know. Did Solo or the PT really add anything we didn't know? Not really.
But what a cool story could be told with Rey's children! She's taken on the name Skywalker and might pass on that lineage to her children (by the way, who would be the daddy, now that Kylo is dead and Finn has been friend zoned?).
But what happens when those children grow up and find out that they're not actually Skywalkers by blood, but in reality Palpatines by blood?! Oooh drama in the future of Star Wars! Possibilities.
And since I mentioned him, Finn's force sensitive according to J.J. Abrams. So what about that? What about his kids?
Future stories the way to go IMO.

I meant something like centuries or millenia before the Skywalker saga. When the Sith had an empire and the rule of two didn't exist. I don't want a prequel with young Yoda or young Palpatine. I want stories set in the Star Wars universe that take place before these characters were even born. Same thing if the stories take place after the Skywalker saga. I want them to take place centuries later without any Skywalkers or Kenobis. Basically Star Wars stories completely unrelated to the Skywalker saga.

This way you're not bound by any rules, but you're still in SW territory.

I guess they have to go to the past now. Long before the Skywalker saga. That way you can truly ignore the Disney Trology and all of the films in fact.
I donโt mind new Jedi or Sith I just hope the lore is respected. For instance, force-sensitives occur at a frequency of something like one in every ten thousand sentient beings. So Iโm tired of everyone being force-sensitive and force-sensitives meeting other force-sensitives. That is done frequently in the cartoons. Itโs better to retain Jedis and Sith as a rare commodity.

First of all, they need to be good obviously. Second, I'd like to see new Jedi and Sith, perhaps going over the backstory of the Force, if capable.
