In my opinion, the US has to be favorites to win back the cup on home soil. The only thing that could derail them would be internal friction and possibly some inexperience.

I always root against us in these things.
They really need to pair Dechambeaux and Koepka, who are pretending to be having a cordial relationship.

I'm a bit apprehensive about Europe's chances, given the lack of form being shown by many of the players. After a great start to the year, Westwood looks a little stale, and for someone whose prowess with his driver is legendary, he hardly hit a fairway at Wentworth last week. Lowry hasn't won since his Open victory in 2019, McIlroy is no longer a challenger in Majors, Poulter was dismal at Wentworth missing the cut and neither Fleetwood nor Fitzpatrick have won in USA. The two Spaniards and Hovland look to be our best bets and maybe they can inspire the others into a performane For Casey, Garcia, Westwood and Poulter this will be a LAST HURRAH and I hope that they manage to sign off their time as Ryder Cuppers in triumph.

Garcia and Poulter are great Ryder Cup players and Rahm is steady Eddie, but beyond that Europe is going to have trouble unless the US self destructs.

Poulter and McIlroy are NOT playing shit against Cantlay and Schauffele.
They are playing diabolically crap shit.

This might be over by the 10th

I don't know if they finish each others shots. But at least they talk trash and gloat

Got to say that this is down there with all NBA, the Rugby League final and the University Boat Race as the event I care least about.

McIlroy and Poulter were pretty awful on Friday. For someone who sees himself as one of the world's top golfers, McIlroy was a huge disappointment. Hitting a driver 300 yards plus on the fairway is impressive but failing to hit a wedge from 100 yards inside 30 feet is not. I can do that. You can do that. We can all do that. This morning both are on the bench along with Lowry and Fleetwood. The latter earned a half-point yesterday playing with Hovland but has now been dropped in favour of Cheeseburger. Bad move

3-1, 3-1, 3-1
I don't know about Whistling Straits but if the Europeans think that they can win this then they're Whistling Dixie. The Europeans will not reach double figures. Stricker has miraculously put together pairs who are a perfect foil for one another. The Europeans have a pair of brave and talented Spaniards and a few veterans who've seen better days. I see that Poulter and McIlroy have been picked to play together in the fourballs against Johnson and Morikawa. Good luck with that
