As much as he wanted to, and she wanted to. They weren’t each other’s answer.
They were exactly what they needed at that moment. But they wouldn’t have sustained it.
She needed guidance and direction, he needed clarity and a reminder of where he has been and where he is now. They saved each other. And it was beautiful.
“I have to be going now, but don’t let that come between us… okay”
“…okay”
That was the line he whispered in her ear. It’s been enhanced and studied. And I think he means “just because I have to go now, don’t let that stop you from using what you’ve learned here and living your life. Don’t stay “stuck” or “lost”. And he will do the same.
