I'd say no because it's too easy to see they are just distorted images of people laughing. It has an "ick" factor, but it doesn't push the boundaries of normal behavior enough.

No, it's only a picture. Pictures can't hurt me. True, but fear is often irrational. I still can't sleep in absolute darkness to this day. I know there's no logical reason for me to feel uneasy in such conditions given that I'm in my bedroom, yet I still get unnerved when I can't see anything around me.
