I look forward to see what his title reign has in store. His big dream matches he'd like to have in the future as champion are against Keith Lee, Cesaro, and Goldberg, all of which I can get behind. Keith Lee is basically another version of Big E except not as animated, even though they both have a sense of humor. Cesaro was starting to get a big push himself on Smackdown which rivaled Big E's push, so a match between them could've been different from the other times they faced due to how much potential they were finally showing as solo wrestlers. As for Goldberg, I originally didn't see the appeal in this match until Big E said Goldberg was his favorite wrestler, which means if they fought their match would have emotion, and unlike any other Goldberg match before.
We're a long ways away from the first photo you posted, but I remember it like it was yesterday when Big E would stand around as a bodyguard with no direction while Dolph Ziggler and AJ Lee would get it on right in front of him. I couldn't help but wonder if he felt left out, especially after he started to pursue AJ Lee, which went nowhere for him.

^ I have to wonder if we'll ever see the old team get back together but I doubt it. Big E has become even more successful than Dolph Ziggler, and AJ Lee is retired.

Btw, I would also like to see Big E vs Kofi Kingston as they're the two most successful members of the New Day, with Kofi being the original gold standard of the team who paved the way for Big E to win the WWE Championship.

So many of us wish AJ Lee would come back but she seems settled into retirement now. Still, hope springs eternal.
Dolph Ziggler on the other hand likes to take credit for all the wrestlers he turned in to made men so I could definitely envision him paying Big E a surprise visit. Bad blood aside, they are two wrestlers with a stack of different WWE titles between them, which would promise an epic encounter. Let's not forget it was Ziggler who groomed the retooled and returning Drew McIntyre for superstardom in WWE when he hired the Scottish psychopath as muscle. Mm, sounds familiar.

Kofimania was running wild and it was a slow train coming for Kofi Kingston. Dolph Ziggler tried to take old foe Kingston out in a fit of jealous rage but this time Kingston had Ziggler's number. Kingston also had a score to settle with Randy Orton, including payback over a match that allegedly turned ugly.
Then there's indie stalwart Xavier Woods (not to be confused with safety Xavier Woods of the Minnesota Vikings). He's been around the block a bit. I figure he's due a run at either the United States Championship or the Intercontinental Championship, like when Sami Zayn finally stepped out of Kevin Owens' shadow in singles competition. He is so underappreciated due to the elite company he keeps.
As for Big E, I think he needs to stay at the very top and end John Cena once and for all with a Big Ending at 'Wrestlemania'. This will require him to retain his new title, or win it back before next year's big event. That's another dream match for wrestling fans. E brutally attacked Cena to make a name for himself on 'Raw' so he could bring things around full circle. This was back when he was Dolph Ziggler's muscle and Cena kept interfering in Ziggler's business.

JBL always said Big E was a future WWE champion, and as usual, he was right. This week has allowed me to take in some sweet memories and extended highlights of how this story developed, as shown below through some brief snapshots of his epic rivalry with John Cena which reached a head in 2015 ...
ORIGINAL ENEMIES : BIG E & JOHN CENA
RELUCTANT ALLIES : The Shield try to ambush John Cena in 2013
RIVAL FACTIONS : John Cena joins the Dudley Boyz to take on the New Day in 2015
WRESTLING WAR : John Cena Vs Big E in a United States Championship Title Match from 2015
GYM BUDDIES : Big E tests the limits inside John Cena's gymnasium

^ I could get behind a match between John Cena and Big E. When they fought before, it was mostly a one-man show with John Cena having all the fame and fortune, but now Big E can level with him, as they both have a very clean image which has been beyond marketable and has sure made for some profitable t-shirts and cereal boxes. John Cena lives by the phrases Hustle, loyalty, and Respect, and Never Give Up, while Big E embraces the power of positivity and a Unicorn.
I had high hopes for Big E. and Mark Henry as a tag team back in 2013, but unfortunately they didn't last long.

^ I remember when Xavier Woods was in the running for the US Championship a few years ago on Smackdown. He was one of the big players in a tournament which he likely may have won outside of Jinder Mahal, and Bobby Roode, who actually won in the end. It's definitely time for Xavier Woods to try his luck again.

The way I figure it, if Big E is gonna get over as a solo artist, he needs to experience some serious heat with a WWE superstar. I like that he idolises Goldberg whose a bona fide icon and reality tv superstar (not to mention friend of Lea Thompson), but what's the connection that can lead to a main stage match-up? At least in John Cena he has an adversary ready-made, a man he's fought throughout his history as a professional, even occasionally coming out on top when the result didn't matter. And for good measure, if he accepts this particularly personal challenge, there's few wrestlers bigger than John Cena within the wrestling world today.
Who would you like to see Big E go up against as champion?

^ I like the choices Big E mentioned himself which were Cesaro, Keith Lee, and Goldberg. I also like the idea of him facing Kofi Kingston, and even though he has already proven himself in his matches with Bobby Lashley, I do think he probably would've got an even better reaction had he taken the WWE Championship from Roman Reigns, after he was basically being groomed to potentially do so for months on end.
I guess Big E. vs AJ Styles wouldn't be so bad either.

Bobby Lashley decimated the New Day and the Bloodline at ringside on 'Raw', though Roman Reigns had the last laugh on the night. It's got to be a steep learning curve for Big E fighting at the highest level and he's going to have to get used to being targeted on a regular basis.

To be fair, Dolph Ziggler does deserve the credit for propping up Big E and Big D when they were preparing to climb the ladder of success. They should really be on the same page here, saying, "Thank you Dolph, for making me famouser".
Primetime Players : Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode
