The transformation of “rebel” Boomers like Kareem into now in old age authoritarian flacks for the state is one of the funniest things—and yet they still want to seen as outsiders, rebelling against something. I'm not sure what 'authoritarian' or 'outsider' means anymore. The people who were supporting police during the George Floyd riots were the same ones attacking police when they sacked the capitol. Conservative governors touting 'small government' are the same ones abusing their power when municipalities/businesses/school districts try to enact mask mandates. Leave it up to the people, unless you think the people are wrong. Are the local officials the authoritarians or the outsiders? They can't be both. If they're the authoritarians, what does that make the governors, forcing their views upon a lower governing body? If conservatives had it their way, the government would be able to decide whether a woman could have an abortion, but the government should not decide if people should get a vaccine (that could affect countless lives), or even if they need to wear a mask. That's an infringement on individual rights. It would seem these values are no longer absolute, rather they shift situationally at the convenience of those with a specific agenda. For many Americans, the government only appears authoritarian when their chosen party isn't the one making the decisions. The Republican party has been playing this game for years, and they want it both ways. When Trump was in office they controlled the White House as well as congress, yet they still played the 'outsider' card, blaming some imaginary 'deep state' for all of their woes. There are no outsiders anymore, and public health has never been about authoritarianism. It isn't about 'control' or a master computer as Kyrie would have you believe. It's about a better quality of life for all of society. Such has been the way of society for several centuries.

No. America is in a dangerous place right now because its politics have spiraled out of control. Mass media has enabled fringe lunatics like whomever Kyrie is following to wild real power of the populace like never before.

It would be nice if everyone would get vaccinated. That being said, I think we gotta respect peoples choices as much as we can. If someone really truly doesn't want to get it then I think we should accept that choice. However, when a person who doesn't want to get the vaccine starts throwing these wild conspiracy theories around it makes it really hard to respect their choice. Should an employer accept their choice when it means that their employee will literally not be coming to work 50% of the time? Kareem is 100% right - - as he usually is. Kareem could donate 49% of his brain cells to Kyrie and still he would be smarter than him.

Overrated too
I don't think I'd put him in my Top 5 Centers of All-Time
Think I'd go -
1. Wilt 2. Jo-Jo 3. Dream 4. Shaq 5. This is tough - Ewing or Robinson
Well Kyrie has a run for his money in stupidity then.

I agree with Kareem. I'm sick of these fucking idiots. I was talking to a friend the other day about polio vaccines and he proudly said to me 'Well' my kids were never vaccinated and they didn't get polio." Yep that's right folks. These people live amongst us and they breed.
This is a privileged athlete who's bought into every dumbass unfactual conspiracy theory of his age. Well this is one time mate you can't double speak your way into an intellectual cul de sac. Face reality and get the fucking vaccine.

I mean politics have always enabled fringe lunatics to survive, don't forget that during mass cholera outbreaks during 1800s and during the Spanish flu, many were spreading ideas regarding possible vaccinations as being bad for you. I don't disagree we're spiraling, but would also say we have at many points throughout history as well.

I was directly exposed recently to a person with covid and when I attempted to warn my brother about the whole exposure, his response was it's no big deal. It is very frustrating.

If the Nets ditch Kyrie, then that definitely makes things a lot easier for the Cavs to march their way to the title this year.

Why won't the NBA break away from their Communist China buddies for lying to the world about Covid since late-2019?

Well Kyrie has a run for his money in stupidity then. Yeah - I guess playing with some guy named Magic who saved his bacon time and time again had nothing to do with his legacy
Guy was so soft he had to invent some alien looking shot from the outside looping through the sky because he couldn't bully anybody down low where the 5s made their living back in the day
Hey look at me - I can't play in the paint against guys my size so I think I'll throw this junk up (notice the offensive foul and push off too with his elbow - big goof got away with murder) -

I just have issues with mandating people put something in their bodies (with certain exceptions in healthcare or the military). I think the fair compromise is mandating masks for everyone in the workplace as well as requiring bi-weekly testing for those who either aren't vaccinated or don't want to show their vaccination status. Testing and masks, to me, are much different when it comes to mandates then vaccines.
