I bet if that remake of Nightmare Alley does well, it will open the door to a slew of film noir remakes. Including The Maltese Falcon. Why not? They can always say “oh we’re going to follow the book more closely with respect to the original film”. You are giving me a reason to wish the new Nightmare Alley to bomb.
