I'm sure that we all have movies that either didn't click with us or we just didn't think were very good. I'm a picky movie watcher in general who drops more movies than they finish. And these days there's just too much content to watch and we have to make tough decisions about what to finish and what to skip.
I'll list a few movies by genre that I didn't finish and don't have any plans to finish. You can list yours in whatever form you like, whether it's by genre, by release date, or whatever.
Action
Sucker Punch had good visuals but felt like another Van Helsing, boring and for a lack of a better description, too interested in its own mythology like you're a character in the movie yourself
Animation:
Robin Hood (Disney) The film was loaded with reused characters and footage and I just couldn't make it very far in.
Adventure:
Lawrence of Arabia just wasn't my cup of tea. They already killed off the main character in the future and with both the slow pace and desert setting and the characters not interesting me, it just didn't hold my interest.
Family
Bedknobs and Broomsticks has an iconic scene with the underwater travel on a flying bed but I never got much past that because the movie grows duller and duller afterwards.
Fantasy
The live action Disney Alice in Wonderland was too much of a quirk fest showing off the celebrity actors more than anything else. I really enjoyed Peregrine's though.
Horror
The Omen didn't seem that bad but was just a bit too boring because I didn't vibe with the atmosphere.
Drag Me to Hell had an interesting premise but it seemed to grow dull when it needed to be suspenseful.
Science Fiction:
There are some sci fi films that I won't give a chance like the ever present clone your dead wife and family shtick that crops up every couple years.
Hardcore Henry isn't that bad but it literally made me nauseous to watch it so I couldn't get far into it and had to give it up.
Dreamscape I got further in than most I stop watching, but the atmosphere really bored me.
Western
The Magnificent Seven bored me out of watching it almost immediately.
What movies did you not care for enough to finish? And are there any that you might give a second chance?
