Matrix.
Sure, JW has more consistency, but there's not really a story or character to invest in. Matrix 4 will probably suck, but I'm curious what's going on and how it ties into the others. If I see JW4, it will be just to see Keanu kill people with amusing items.

I think more people are interested in John Wick with the franchise riding high than pulling an old franchise (that started high but declined) out of the cobwebs.

I think more people are interested in John Wick with the franchise riding high than pulling an old franchise (that started high but declined) out of the cobwebs. The first two John Wick movies were rather abhorrent and the motivation for killing the gangsters because of his dead wife's dead dog was rather ridiculous. It wasn't really until he faced off against his assassin company that it became something of value.
