Wow, what a whole lot of absolute...nothing. Make all the actors sign a nondisclosure...for really nothing.
It's not just that something was missing, EVERYTHING was missing. Could it have been anymore vague if they tried? 'People started dying in the city', what city, where? When? From what? What is this, a flu, a plague, smallpox? Does it turn you into zombies? They sure were scared of elaborating anything past 'sick', weren't they?

Yeah man. A lot of people lived this movie, and it's the sort of thing I'm usually taken with. The director's previous film Krisha is terrific and really artfully put together. It had a great cast. It looks really stark and atmospheric... but I was just left thinking... 'huh?'

It had nice cinematography... But it was basically just another Apocalypse type movie... "Humans are the true monster" etc.
It was a one and done for me. Just didn't do much for me.
***spoilers!!***
I have a theory it was the Son who kept messing with everything. Letting the Dog out, leaving the door open, etc.

Humans are always the true monster, especially dumbass panicked humans, in almost every apocalypse movie, more people die from panic than the actual threat, the virus, the zombies, the bomb, the man eating plants, whatever it is.
