My curiosity sucks. I keep chucking out the newest Bruce Wills movies because I get so damn curious about them and they all suck. Cosmic Sin, Midnight in Switchgrass, Breach, 10 Minutes Gone, Reprisal, The Prince, Hard Kill, Out of Death. All crappy Bruce Willis films made within the last few years. What happened to this guy? He has no passion left for the craft of acting. Hes hardly trying. Why even continue?
Oh well lets dive into this film called Survive the Game. The film is about two cops (Bruce Wills and Swen Temmel) bust two villains (Zach Ward who was the bully in A Christmas Story and some girl looking a lot like Harley Quinn) doing some kind of deal. I really did not catch what the deal is or what crime they were committing. The movie explains nothing. Willis gets shot in the gut and expresses very little pain. Its like Tim Roth is Reservoir Dogs if he didnt care. Hes wounded for the whole film but its not like it matters. More bad guys chase the cops through land occupied by a man who lost his family (Chad Michael Murray) and they get into multiple non exciting shootouts and lame car chases where its mostly two cares going kinda fast in a straight line. The film is padded with long drawn out dull dialog yet hardly explains any plot.
The real heart of this film is Bruce Willis not caring. Its rather funny how much he does not care. Its like he was at gunpoint while being in this film. Sometimes its not even him in the film. There are clearly double sitting in for Bruce in many scenes. And the cherry on top is that on the poster to the film his picture is the same one they used in Midnight in Switcgrass!
A generous 2/10. One of the worst films of the year.

It's good you're committed to seeing all of Bruce Willis' movies.

It's good you're committed to seeing all of Bruce Willis' movies. Its one of my major flaws. I used to love Bruce Willis. The one who was in Pulp Fiction and Die Hard. The good Bruce Willis.

P.S. The rating for this film on IMDB was 2.8. Some jackasses made fake accounts and gave it a load of 9 and 10s. Now it at a 5.9.
Kirk Cameron and Ray Comfort did that for their beyond awful films Saving Christmas and Audacity.

I watch a lot of Mel Gibson's work which tends to be interesting. I have Jodie Foster's back in having Mel Gibson's back, I hate the cancel culture and its unwillingness to encourage the possibility of rehabilitation and even redemption. Gibson and Willis might have been good together, like Tango and Cash on a tequila bender at sunrise.

I also like Mel Gibson. The man has flaws but hell we all do. He did a lame action film last year called Force of Nature. It was bad but Mel was trying and was the best thing about the film.

I've not seen it. I'll keep an eye out, thanks.

Exactly. And actually it was supposed to be Bruce Willis but he dropped out. Bruce turned down a role? Weird I know. Perhaps it was more than a 3 day shoot and Bruce would not do more than 2. Thats my guess. I heard most of his newer stuff he just does 1 or 2 day shoots.

I for one really appreciate your sacrifice. I too loved Bruce Willis in the 1980s to the early 2000s. I would watch everything he was in. When I’m at Walmart and see the straight to DVD films of his I’m curious and look at the synopsis but then put it back on the shelf. Your reviews and time spent viewing these saves me the heartache and pain.

The problem with Gibson is that it wasn't one bad moment. The guy has a history going back years of, shall we say questionable behavior. I mean, I know telling a Jewish woman that her grandparents were "oven dodgers" is hilarious, but hey, she might not see the humor in it. (In case people didn't pick up on it, that last sentence was meant to be sarcastic. Oh, and if you don't know what I'm referencing, I'm talking about Winona Ryder telling a story about the time Gibson made these comments to her.) We have a history of homophobic crap. (If you can find it, look for the interview from the late-80s or early-90s where he's asked of he's gay, and he's gets offended, insisting that he doesn't look like "one of THEM".) Then there was the "Jews start all the wars" incident. Then there was the recording where he told his girlfriend that he hopes she gets raped by a pack of n-words. Then there's the account of Joe Esterhaz (? spelling) from when he was working with Gibson, which revealed Gibson to just be a horrible human in every conceivable way, such as: hating his own fans, and revealing that when his bodyguards take pictures of him with fans they already know to purposely cut out the heads so the fans will be disappointed when the film is developed (this is before camera phones, obviously); bad mouthing his own friends behind their backs, including calling his agent a "pussy" for crying after the agent's sister died; while hanging out with Esterhaz's 14-year-old son, telling the boy his rape fantasies concerning his ex-girfriend; an absolute belief in debunked antisemitic drivel such as the Protocols of the Elders of Zion; a hot temper, culminating in the infamous, "Who wants to eat?! Let's eat! Hooray!!!!" recording.

Just you watch - Soon, Willis will star in a small movie where he cares to act again and get praised. Maybe someone who grieves over their lost pet like a certain movie released this year starring a certain Oscar Winner. Let’s call it Hamster.

I hold no moral authority on this (or any other) hiring issue and offer none. If you choose to cancel any individual party, that's your decision. Fair enough.

He should just play an all-CGI character for a superhero franchise. That’s gotta be a bigger payday than this kind of stuff.
