Dentist today told me I may need it/them taken out in the near future, anybody had theirs taken out? Any regrets? I had the top two extracted before they broke the gum line. Bottom 2 never formed. I lucked out and it was a very easy healing process for me. No real pain at all. Hope all is easy for you if they need to go.

Had them out five years ago. Only annoying part was waiting for the swelling to go down.

I can't remember if it was three or four I had removed, but I was able to get though it awake with my significant other at the time by my side. I regret taking a look at the removed teeth afterwards, as it grossed me out; blocked out the memory, but I think they were bloody.

I had all 4 taken out when I was 16. Remember banging on the table for more novocaine. Was on painkillers that week.

Dentist today told me I may need it/them taken out in the near future, anybody had theirs taken out? Any regrets? I've had three taken out and the last one will probably have to be yanked sooner or later. I was knocked out for the first two, but stayed awake for the third. It's really not a big deal. The hole in your jaw afterwards will be more annoying than the procedure. You'll have to rinse food out of it until it closes up. This is will be your new buddy for a while:

Back in the early 80s had all four removed, first the two on the left, then the two on the right. In a fog the day after, but otherwise no problems.

They weren't bothering me but the dentist said I should have them removed anyway. Like an idiot, I listened to him. Apparently I bleed a lot. Way more than a normal person. But really the pain wasn't nearly as bad as most people say even though I had it done a few years later than usual.
After my mouth healed up from the surgery I started having this problem where anything cold would really hurt my top left molar. Apparently it they somehow cracked it when they were taking out the wisdom tooth. I got a free crown because they clearly fucked up but it still gets sensitive sometimes when it never would before. And those things don't last forever. So thanks, asshole dentist.

Dentist told me I should have mine removed, but I said they'd never given any problem. He said they would eventually, and kept trying to convince me to get them removed. I did not. Same dentist would have me watch videos advertising expensive procedures while waiting for Novocaine to kick in. Shady stuff. Stopped going to that officer, and my wisdom teeth still haven't ever given any problems.
