Because the trailer makes it look like a comedy. And if it is, I'm not really interested. Anyone seen this?

I've not seen it in a long time. It's based on a Stephen King novel. It's not a comedy, it has kind of a The Burbs feel to it. It's alright, it's worth a watch.

The voice of intro with the opening line would have gotten to see this movie if if had known nothing about Stephen King.

Lol its not a comedy. The antagonist just has a certain devilish charisma.

Max Von Sydow doesn't do comedy that should've been your first clue.

Well the book wasn't. Haven't seen the movie, but yeah the trailer is kinda cut to look like some Tales From the Crypt-style horror-comedy.

Not officially, but it might as well have been a comedy. I'd say the filmmakers took a campy approach to it. A poor adaptation of a great Stephen King novel.
