I am surprised in the fact I like the design of that shirt. Shocked Dan Patrick made it. Seems like a Pat McAfee type thing to do like the dropping dimes and suck it signs shirt last year.

Why is this guy talking trash to a bad team that has never really been a rival to him? Try to imagine Brady getting a TD in Buffalo and yelling, "I f-cking own you!" at the crowd. Why would he bother? Why did Rodgers do this, what did he think he had to prove to Bears fans? It makes him look like a tool.

Can't imagine Brady doing a loud celebration in the end zone discount double-checking and being confronted by screaming fans giving him multiple middle fingers either. Aaron's only a good road QB there. 10-3, whereas he's 43-46 on the road elsewhere.

Stuff like this is what annoys me. The Bears/Packers rivalry matters to a ton of us. Before Favre the Bears owned us. Since? Packers have now controlled the rivalry. All time series (which matters to us fans) is now GB 102 - CHI 95 - 6 Ties. Favre and Rodgers have done this to take control of the lead. You want to bring up Tom Brady and the Bills? That rivalry simply doesn't have the history. So when Rodgers taunts the crowd it means something more than to those who aren't part of it.
Its very college football trophy game like. Which is awesome. Rodgers said that the Bears are the only team he would never play for. How can you not love that?
It is funny, everyone of note unless you are a dipshit like Skip Bayless who just hates anything Rodgers does no matter what, hated this move. Meanwhile the majority of the world loves the emotion and passion.
It just comes down to it being Aaron Rodgers that did it. Some want to hate him so they will use it as a reason to back up their "douche" perception of him like they do with his family situation. Had any other QB done this, they'd be celebrated.

Disagree - we can only refer to the longer tenured QBs but I think if Roethlisberger screamed it at Browns fans, Russ at 49ers fans etc they’d get similar hate. The only difference is we just can’t imagine those QBs doing it.

I think it's lame that a QB considered by many to be one of the all time greats would bother taunting fans of a team that isn't very good, and hasn't been very good during his tenure. I was stunned not only that he did it, but that the press for the most part thinks it's funny, as opposed to being beneath him. I would've been embarrassed if Brady had done this to Buffalo in 2019. I would've wondered how quickly we could get him into concussion protocol. Again, it's less about being classless and more about being pointless. And don't even get me started on what I think the fan/media reaction would've been to a black superstar doing this.

The only difference is we just can’t imagine those QBs doing it. I get what you're saying but none of those rivalries matter like Bears/Packers do. To outsiders it seems odd but like I said before its like a college rivalry game with a trophy on the line. Steelers vs Browns? Or Seahawks vs 49ers? The history just isn't there. Packers and Bears are OGs. It just means more to us. I dont expect you to understand as you don't have a comparison. Its like Yankees vs Red Sox. Such a history. Pedro saying the Yankees "were his daddy". Its the same thing. Colts vs Titans just doesn't quite resonate.

I loved prime Cam while most seemed to hate him. Like I said before, the Packers vs Bears rivalry just means more than outsiders could understand. Pats vs Bills does it really matter? The Packers vs Bears rivalry is 100 years old and to people here it just means something different. I compared it to college. Think of the Iron Bowl with Auburn and Alabama. Has either team always been good? No. However when one beats the other its a big deal. It's not as "pointless" as you say. It's just simply a rivalry moment that I think college fans would understand. Its crazy to see a QB do this. They're normally cliche as fuck. Teammates would rally to this imo.

This is worth examining. It's too strange (and it went on too long) not to be premeditated. I didn't understand the purpose other than to galvanize the team. I still don't see the point because it isn't as if the Packers are struggling. And yeah I see the old school rivalry thing being bigger with the Bears/Packers from their perspective. It doesn't seem like much of a rivalry, but I'm not involved so I wouldn't know. I still hate the Jets even though the Patriots have mostly owned them for 20 years. I still would've thought it was bizarre for Brady to yell "I own you!" to the Jets crowd, but hey. It definitely depends on the athlete. I think most of the fans and media (outside of Chicago at least) have gotten a real kick out of this because it's Rodgers. Cam is a classic example of a guy who would've been almost universally roasted as being smug and arrogant in an identical scenario.

During the post-game presser, Rodgers claimed he "blacked out" and doesn't even remember doing this. Now, if that isn't some bullshit, I don't know what is.
Unless he was playing with a concussion, I don't buy it.
But either way, I did think it was kind of funny because it was such a random thing. You just don't see QBs saying stuff like this very often. At least he didn't wear a t-shirt for a week that said "beat Chicago" on it and then lose to them. Lol...
