They teased what little interest I had in the movie right out of me.

Too early to say anything good or bad... but...
...I'm a little confused. Aren't they trying to establish him as a new hero? Or at least an anti hero?
If so, killing a dude as his first move, and in a pretty horrible way, is not the way to go!
Looks cool though.

If I had to take a stab at it, I think his arc is to become a proper hero from a ruthless antihero at first. Since the JSA is being introduced here my guess is he'll fight them but then unite to battle Intergang who are confirmed to appear in the movie.

Yeah, I agree that it will probably be something like that. And maybe it will smooth things out if it turns out the dude he kills was a bad guy to begin with. But its one of those little things that I don't like in some super hero movies, where early on in the movie the hero either kills or is responsible for the death of someone, and then later in the movie its glossed over and everything's forgiven as if it didn't happen. Iron Man kills several times in Iron Man. The snyderverse version of Superman and Batman are responsible for some deaths. Magneto is responsible for the deaths of what could be hundreds of thousands in Apocalypse! But nothing comes of those. Is Black Adam going to be a killer that we all cheer on later in the movie? That could still be a cool story, but so long as the parameters are clear that he's not a hero.

A new rumor that Jennifer Holland will return to the role of Emilia Harcourt in Black Adam. Maybe have Johnson join the Suicide Squad or even fight them in the third movie?

MOS had very different fight scenes than Infinity War. MOS's fight scenes had a lot of "oomph" to the hits, like you could really feel how much power each of the Kryptonians brought to their blows. The handling of superspeed as well as probably the best depiction of superspeed we've seen (although Makkari's can rival it). But the choreography itself was very simplistic and basically boiled down to opponents bullrushing each other and throwing haymakers. Infinity War on the other hand had great choreography, where each character is able to showcase their powers in a unique way that still merges well with everyone else on the screen to compose masterful fight scenes. But their movements weren't as refined as MOS and and you didn't quite feel the impact of their hits the same way MOS depicted theirs. If there's a movie out there that can combine the best of both these worlds then that would be a dream come true, but it's such a tall order that I doubt it can be done.

The synopsis:
“Nearly 5,000 years after he was bestowed with the almighty powers of the Egyptian gods—and imprisoned just as quickly—Black Adam (Johnson) is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world.” movieweb.com/black-adam-synopsis/

I doubt that, but I can see Atom Smasher join the SS. He’s the only character within that JSA team that has been on the SS in the comics.

Producer Hiram Garcia wants to do a Kingdom Come film. "Look, I think the dream project that's something we've always spoken about at Seven Bucks, we would love to make someday, which is a tougher ambition due to, obviously, IP and rules and so forth, but always been obsessed with Kingdom Come, the Mark Waid/Alex Ross joint that those guys did," Garcia explained. "I think that storyline was always so compelling. We've always envisioned it as kind of an epic, multi-film saga. I think that's something we've always dreamed of being able to do. If there was ever a dream project, and not trying to start a fire where it's like we're gunning after that, because it's just pie in the sky, you'd love to be able to tell the story, and I always admired that story of the juxtaposition of old-school heroes versus new-school heroes and how they clash and a world so divided in terms of how they view what is justice now and what was it and what should it be. It's always just always something very compelling in the big, cataclysmic mash-up of old versus new. That's something that, look, in a perfect world, we could do it, would love to do it." comicbook.com/dc/news/black-adam-producer-wants-to-make-kingdom-come-movie/
