What i'm saying is did you ever notice that the 90's had more vampire films and t.v. shows than any other decade?
For some reason the 90's had so many vampire films:
Bordello of blood Vampire in brooklyn
interview with the vampire dracula 1992
vampires buffy the vampire slayer
buffy the vampire slayer t.v. series Blade Dracula:dead and loving it
But since the 90's there are very few vampire films, we only have:
blade 2
twilight
underworld
And there's been nothing from 2010 and onward.

I hadn't paid much attention to the fact before this, but you're right. I guess these things just go in phases. Sci-fi horror featuring aliens and giant bugs, etc. well all the rage in the 50s, slashers in the 80s. Vampires obviously became the hot thing in the 90s, but the trend appears to have burned itself out once it reached saturation point. They'll no doubt make some form of comeback in the years to come.

Let Me In (2010) We are the Night (2010) Fright Night (2011) Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter (2012) Only Lovers Left Alive (2013) A Girl Walks Home at Night (2014) ...not to mention all those Twilight sequels, Hotel Transylvania etc. And I'm sure there have been loads of B-movies.

Also Stakeland, Stakeland II, Byzantium, Vamps, Vampire Academy, What We Do in the Shadows, Vampires in the Bronx, Dracula Untold, Dark Shadows, Priest, Blood Red Sky and My Heart Can't Beat Unless You Tell It To.

Prior to the home video era, when you could only see a movie at the theatre or on tv, it was relatively easy to compile a list of genre films from memory. Since the advent of digital/dvd and the ability of independent producers/companies to crank out an almost endless stream of movies, it is virtually impossible to keep track of them without referring to sources.
Just scrolling through Youtube and discovering titles that played a theatre for only a few weeks, if at all, or went straight to video or the internet will give you a headache. And that is not even touching cable television that seems to churn out feature films by the boatload every week.
Fortunately, there are people (probably an army of them) who do the work for you and upload the information to the internet.
Still, it's fun using the brain cells to remember stuff, then sitting back and letting others fill in the gaps.
