Matzek is awesome. I would let him pitch the 9th. Most likely Will Smith, warming up, will come in. I said the same thing, it worked out. Will Smith got it done, but the way Matzek was pitching, I would have let him close the game. |

I legit cried, I wasn't a fan yet for the 95 series. I grew up in the late 90s and 2000s. Tge Braves gave countless times disappointed me in the playoffs. This year? I think I believe. They just seem to deliver when it counts.

A bit too young to remember their Milwaukee World Series teams, but I remember Spahn going 23-9 at age 42 in 1963.
They had some firepower with Aaron, Eddie Matthews, Lee Maye, Rico Carty, Mack Jones, Felipe Alou, Joe Torre, Gene Oliver. Couldn't believe that 1965 team would leave for Atlanta the next year.

Maybe they will surprise us all by winning it all this year even without their best player and their best pitcher.
