The miserable weather conditions are really affecting the game now.

That touch back rule is bad. If the return man touches the ball and the punting team recovers, so why wouldn't that hold true if he touches it then it fies ubto the end zone? The touch then creates a possession and going into the end zone after the muff and getting tackled there shluld result in a safety.

But if that's the case then a muffed punt shouldn't be able to result in the kicking team recovering the muff. It's illogical.

Shanahan really fucked up by throwing the challenge flag there.

Is Lance deactivated tonight? Why wouldn't you just have him do some QB runs to see if he can break one?

Colts should have used their time outs at the end of that first half. you got to make them run a play in this kind of weather. you never know what might happen on the Punt attempt or 3rd down.

Here is my recap and analysis of Week 7’s games
Colts defeat 49ers 30-18. Strange game played in horrible weather conditions, but the Colts managed to come away with the win, they forced 4 TO’s and had a good game plan and I think they are a better team than their record indicates and I wouldn’t count them out of the playoff race. The Niners are an interesting team, they are talented but they are dealing with a bunch of injuries once again and they need more receivers to step up and make plays, Deebo Samuel is basically their only weapon at receiver right now, I don’t see them going anywhere this season.
Buccaneers defeat Bears 38-3. The Bucs continue to be dominant as they destroy the Bears, playing a stellar game all around. Brady threw for 4 TD’s and the Bucs offense was very balanced as their rushing attack has improved recently, and their defense was outstanding, forcing 5 TO’s and completely shutting down the Bears offense. The Bucs are a great team and are one of the best teams in the NFL. The Bears look like garbage, they got destroyed, Fields is playing poorly, but he’s in a bad situation, the Bears offensive line is one of the NFL’s worst and Fields looks like he’s in over his head. I don’t see the Bears going anywhere this season, and I wonder if Fields will remain the starter.
Bengals defeat Ravens 41-17. Bengals with a terrific win, Burrow with over 400 yards passing, Chase with over 200 yards receiving, and the Bengals are now in 1st in the AFC North. The Bengals are playing great right now, their offense is very strong and their defense has been surprisingly good, and they are definitely a playoff threat. The Ravens are interesting, I’m not sure if they can keep up their strong rushing attack given their injuries, I think they may have to rely more on the passing attack going forward, and their defense played poorly today, while I think the Ravens have enough talent to make the playoffs, I’m not sure if they are consistent enough to get there.
Titans defeat Chiefs 27-3. Titans with another great win and they are firmly in command of the AFC South, they are playing really well, their offense has a lot of talented weapons led by Derrick Henry and their defense is somewhat underrated and has talent as well. The Titans are definitely a threat in the AFC. The Chiefs are playing really poorly and really unlike the Chiefs team we’ve seen that’s dominated the NFL the past 2 years, they are turning the ball over a lot, they don’t have much of a rushing attack, and their defense isn’t playing well at any level. The Chiefs really need to turn things around now if they want to make the playoffs, or else they will be another team that loses the Super Bowl and winds up missing the playoffs the next year.
Packers defeat Washington 24-10. Packers with their 6th win in a row, they are playing outstanding and they are one of the NFL’s best teams, Rodgers is playing stellar, he threw for 274 and 3 TD’s today, they have a very strong offense with a lot of talent and a pretty good defense as well. Washington continues to really struggle on defense, especially in the secondary, their bad defensive play is very surprising, their offense is okay but they need more weapons than just McLaurin, but I don’t see the WFT going anywhere this season, they are in too deep of a hole and I don’t see them digging themselves out of it enough to make the playoffs.
Cardinals defeat Texans 31-5. Cards remain the NFL’s only unbeaten team, they are playing really well and have a very strong team on both sides of the ball, Murray is having a great year and they have plenty of offensive weapons as well as a talented defense. They are definitely a threat in the NFC and are one of the NFL’s best teams. The Texans on the other hand are garbage and have very little talent and there’s a good chance they don’t win a game the rest of the season.
Falcons defeat Dolphins 30-28. Falcons win on a last second FG, they played a nail biting game as usual, their offense is playing really well as Ryan had another strong game and Pitts had 163 receiving yards, but their defense is poor and cannot hold on to a lead. It will be interesting to see if the Falcons strong offense can get them to a 500 or above finish. The Dolphins are really struggling, they have no rushing game and I have no confidence in Tua, and I wouldn’t be shocked if the Dolphins traded for Watson as they are just not very good right now.
Giants defeat Panthers 25-3. A much needed win for the Giants as they played a decent game on both sides of the ball and got the win. I don’t see them going anywhere this season but they do have a solid foundation of talent and if Jones plays well and they stay healthy they are a decent team. The Panthers would be a good team if they had a decent QB IMO, but Darnold is a bust who isn’t playing well at all and he got benched today and I wouldn’t be shocked if he loses his job, the Panthers are a great example of just how important a QB is in the NFL, because if they had a good one they would be definite playoff contenders but they aren’t going anywhere right now.
Raiders defeat Eagles 33-22. The Raiders continue to play really well and have rallied together in the wake of the Gruden disaster, Carr is having a really good season and he has several good weapons to spread the ball around to, and they don’t have any glaring weaknesses, they just need to continue to be consistently solid and they will make the playoffs and get out of the mediocrity they’ve been stuck in. The Eagles are just not a very talented team, I don’t think Hurts is a good NFL QB, and they have a lot of holes to fill.
Rams defeat Lions 28-19. Rams come back after a slow start and get the win, they are a very talented team, Stafford threw for 334 and 3 TD’s and is playing at an MVP caliber level, and they have a lot of talent on both sides of the ball and are a very dangerous team. The Lions gave it their all once again, but they just don’t have any talent, they’ve got to rebuild at just about every level, and while I think Campbell can get them turned around in the future, this year they may go winless.
Patriots defeat Jets 54-13. Pats with a total destruction of the Jets, they own the Jets, and they played well at each level and dominated the game from start to finish. The Pats have so,s talent but I don’t think they have enough to make the playoffs, but I do like Mac Jones a lot and think he will be a good franchise QB. The Jets suck once again, their defense is arguably the worst in the NFL and they have a lot of rebuilding to do before they can be competitive.
Any thoughts?

The AFC South is a crap division. I expect the Titans to run away with it now. They knocked off the Bills last week and this weekend the embarrassed the Chiefs. Tennessee isn't a team to fuck with! I could see them being a sleeper team in the AFC like a few years prior when they totally borked everybody's playoff predictions.

Colts winning on the road in a big spot was a pleasant surprise, even if it occurred in a downpour. Hey, someone's gotta win those games! That Wentz was able to put up numbers was very promising, though he could easily have thrown about five picks too. Pittman could be a star and JT is probably my favorite Colt since Peyton. Yes, since Peyton.
Put it this way, if someone told me before the season started that we'd have the same record as the Chiefs at the end of week 7, with Wentz throwing ONE interception despite playing EVERY game so far, throw in Leonard with eight turnovers already, and well... I'd assume we'd be competing for the bye. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come with a horrible schedule and some heinous injury luck behind us. Unfortunately next up is a Titans team that's suddenly red hot after dismantling some major AFC powerhouses. We win that game, the postseason is officially in play. Lose, however... and maybe it's time to start planning the parade for 2023.

I think the Colts have a shot at the playoffs - they have a pretty good team all around, Wentz is playing better than I expected him to, Taylor is a great RB, and they are pretty deep on both sides of the ball. Their schedule has been really hard and they still have several hard games left, but if they can win 1 or 2 of those they could definitely get a playoff slot.

We need to win the division - Ravens/Browns/Bengals and Chargers/Raiders/Chiefs will be very tough to beat out for a wild card spot.
