Sam Raimi. I know, you're going to say he only directed rotten movies, but he had one classic, however he did that.
Poor movie-Army of Darkness 1/10
was followed by the classic great film THE QUICK AND THE DEAD 10/10
The rest of you aren't understanding the thread. "No Country For Old Men" and "The Terminator" will never be considered anything more than garbage. But I won't mention that.

Sam Raimi. I know, you're going to say he only directed rotten movies. Nobody says that except you. Were you looking at the mirror when you were typing this, perhaps?

Steven Spielberg - 1941 (1979) and Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) Classic example, although I do kind of like 1941, such a well-meaning failure.

Sam Raimi. I know, you're going to say he only directed rotten movies. Nobody says that except you. Were you looking at the mirror when you were typing this, perhaps? It's there in black and white. It's documented that I said "Sam Raimi. I know, you're going to say he only directed rotten movies." So it's documented, which means you were going to say "he only directed rotten movies". It's right there in black and white. You can't argue with documentation.

Francis Ford Coppola - Jack - The Rainmaker ( his best movie NOT made in the 70s) Aw, come on. No love for The Cotton Club? The Cotton Club looks great, good cast, some nice moments, but....doesn't really gel for me. I was disappointed back in the day but gave it a second chance a year or two back with the Blu-ray...still felt the same. Cotton Club 6/10 Rainmaker 9/10
