Could the highest paid player in the NFL who plays QB actually miss the playoffs?
Hmmmm....

The schedule isn't kind. Green Bay, Vegas (twice), Dallas, Chargers, Steelers, Bengals. Only real easy game in the next, Giants. Then again, they could wake up and start to play like a two time AFC title winner

I'm going to say yes. I'm a prove it to me kind of guy, so for the same reasons I said the Bengals wouldn't make the playoffs, I'll say the Chiefs will. Could be wrong on both, but they'll have to prove it to me down the stretch.

I’m going to say yes - I have a feeling that they are going to improve a lot in the second half of the season, if they cut down on the turnovers they will be a lot better, and I think they are just too talented to not make the playoffs. I don’t really trust the Raiders or Chargers not to fall apart as well.

I voted no. I think the Raiders are much improved post-Chucky. The Chiefs could be 4-7 by the bye (ha!). Seven losses, a tough road to hoe.

I think 10-7 is the cutoff for playoff teams in the AFC. It could all come down to conference head-to-head on the final day.

Oof. Maybe I should change my pick, that is tough.

I'm saying no because Chargers & maybe Raiders.
Would it shock me? Of course not.

Nope, they suck right now. I would be very surprised if they finished the season with 10 wins.

Not the way Mahomes is playing. Talk about a rough game on Sunday.

Not the way Mahomes is playing. Talk about a rough game on Sunday. For me, it's not about him... it's about opponents treating their D like recess, & covering all their speed/deep routes daring them to go inside.

For me, it's not about him... it's about opponents treating their D like recess, & covering all their speed/deep routes daring them to go inside. Mahomes’ turnover problems are an issue and he needs to cut down on them, but the defense is the biggest issue for the Chiefs, they have no pass rush and are last in the NFL in sacks I believe. That is a huge problem, their front 7 is thin and can’t get pressure on the QB and their secondary isn’t good enough to make up for that. They really need to find ways to slow teams down. But I’m still saying they make the playoffs because they are extremely talented on offense and I still have trouble trusting the Chargers and Raiders.

They probably make the playoffs but most likely don't make it to the Bowl. They probably won't run away with the division this season and it will go down to the wire with the last 2-3 weeks having huge implications. We are just now coming up on Halloween so there is plenty of time for them to hit a hot streak down the stretch.
Buffalo and or Tennessee might be the ones to drop them in the playoffs.

I’m going to say yes. They just barely make it in. But they have problems. They probably have the worst defense in the league. They will have to outscore everybody. And if they start getting hammered in losses they could lose their confidence and wind up sitting at home come playoffs time.

I say no. I think they haven't really realized the situation and think they can switch into victory mode whenever they won't, only to learn that they can't when it is too late.
They have the quality, but lack the mindset.
