Seems like Dune is a lock for at least a BP nom.

Dune seems an obvious choice. With recent releases I can see The Last Duel, Belfast, The French Dispatch, and In the Heights getting nominated. Future releases that look like contenders include House of Gucci, Nightmare Alley, West Side Story, The Tragedy of Macbeth, Licorice Pizza, and King Richard. Whether it'd happen or not is another story.

I thought tPotD was kind of boring until the ending. So it might win.

I thought tPotD was kind of boring until the ending. So it might win. I found The Power of the Dog pretty slow too. It was very well acted though. I rated it a 7/10. I personally wouldn't nominate it for best picture, but I would nominate the score, cinematography and at least a couple of the actors. It seems like Power of the Dog is the frontrunner now and will likely win picture, director, adapted screenplay, and supporting actor.
