I know Spielberg put the kibosh on a reboot a while ago. Similarly, I like the "over my dead body" approach Zemeckis and Co. seem to have over Back to the Future. Not everything needs to be franchised to death. Just re-release it in theaters and on physical media ad nauseam every five years and call it a day. This completely. Last year when theaters opened but there were barely any movies being released, I'd go to a revival screening a couple times a month. I saw Jurassic Park four times, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Empire Strikes Back, Scream, Back To The Future, Halloween '78, Halloween 2 and Halloween '18, Jurassic World, the Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Departed, probably more I'm not even remembering. Honestly I'd rather an all out theatrical re-release of the Indiana Jones movies with all the souvenir cups and popcorn tubs than to watch a new entry in the series. I don't wish to see a 70 something bored Harrison Ford in a fedora staring at me from my Coke Zero cup.

Freddy needs to wake his ass up. They tried it in 2010... And everyone hated it. I don't really see it getting a positive reaction if they try again. Unless they bring Robert back. But he is alot older now. I don't see how he could physically do it unless they use his voice on another actor's body.
