We sell it at the supermarket where I work, but I never see any kids buying it, and I wonder why? it tastes pretty damn close to the real thing, especially close to weak beers like bud.

Yeah. I'm not so sure that promoting the taste of beer , even if it's non alcoholic , is such a stellar idea. Besides , it's so easy for kids to get ahold of the real thing , why bother? Also ..don't those non alcoholic beers still have a lil bit of spirits in them ? Like a tiny amount?

IN some states they CAN'T because even though it doesn't contain alcohol it is still classified as being beer.

No. I personally think we have enough alcohol related violence and binge drinking going on at the moment especially among young people and we don't need non alcoholic beer encouraging kids to drink at an even younger age.

kids should buy the non-alcoholic beer if they want to, and if their parents don't mind. I suspect the reason why they aren't buying the it is because they want it for the alcohol, not the taste. If beer did not have alcohol in it, I wonder how many adults would be drinking it.

Also .. don't those non alcoholic beers still have a lil bit of spirits in them ? Like a tiny amount? They do, like around 0.5% alcohol compared to the regular 4% - 5% that most beers have. At least O'Doul's does. If children were to buy it, they can still become intoxicated. It would take about 8 - 10 beers to have the same effect of one drink. Unless you pound them down and/or have a virgin liver, then it would probably take a while before you feel anything. If you're an alcoholic, then chances are you'd have to drink 50 of them within a certain time frame. I'm not against certain ages under 21 drinking alcohol. I believe it's a common practice in Europe where the parents will give their kids a glass of wine with a meal. At least it's supervised and in moderation.

I don't really see the point of non alcoholic beer, at any age, but if they want to, they should be allowed to.
