What matters is whether or not the X-Men movies were good enough to have made the same success as the MCU movies... they did not because they were nowhere near as good. That's a fact. As simple as that, X-Men movies are adult, brilliant sci-fi/superhero works, aimed at a public of sci-fi lovers. MCU films are mostly aimed at kids and children. NO MCU movie will ever get the respect and the love from adults as X2, DAYS, LOGAN and many others. Sorry, man. Which of those films was nominated for best picture? Because a MCU film was... Sorry, man.

Coming from a long time fan of sci-fi and comic books, the X-Men brand has had no exceptional movies. Neither have the MCU and DC. Most are films are good, mindless entertainment. Some are better than others. The science fiction film genre itself has a handful of exceptional, adult films. At least one is a masterpiece. A few more are great. Most of it dreck though. Comic book films, by and large, avoids dreck, but never tries to transcend the genre. Only one comic book genre movie is, in my opinion, exceptional: Joker. Even the Dark Knight, though very good…my second favorite Batman movie…is not exceptional. What I like about the MCU, they understand the above and stick to good, classic Hollywood style, entertainment.

Kids and children don't have enough money to get a movie's box office to a billion dollars or more. You can deny it all you want, fact is that Fox failed to match the success of the MCU movies with their X-men movies. Cry all you want but numbers don't lie. The MCU movies on average outperform Foxmen movies in box office, critic reviews and audience reviews. If Fox was able to make them successful, then they wouldn't have had to sell out to Disney now would they?

How is the X-Men that have blue painted women, purple robots and women with painted metre long metal fingernails not aimed at children you retard.

The MCU feels directionless. What are we supposed to be building to? Seemingly Kang. They've put an emphasis on the multiverse in Phase 4 which surely will lead to him especially with Loki and the upcoming Ant-Man featuring him. It's all a bit muddled though. Kang is a strange one.

I know, guys. Life is hard, and sometimes it's very difficult to cope with it. Eventually, I'm extremely confident that you'll realize the truth. So good luck, guys. Awareness is around the corner, and I'm sure you'll embrace it soon.
In the while, we XCM fans will keep enjoying the true, intense, bleak and brilliant superhero movies of the entire X-Men franchise.
