Wow, you're taste is really lame. Joking aside, I do plan on seeing Spider-Man at the cinema. Only because I love the the multiverse idea with Doctor Strange and the return of Alfred Molina and Willem Dafoe as Doctor Octopus and Green Goblin. I dislike the 2 previous MCU Spider-Man movies. Lol yeah, but they are what interest me lol. I’m excited to see a RE movie that treats the games with hopefully some RESPECT!!! I am glad you took that in good spirits. I have never played the games. I enjoyed the 2002 movie well enough as a silly B monster movie and RE: Extinction is alright for what it is (Mad Max meets Resident Evil), but the rest of these movies are garbage. Retribution is one of the laziest movies I have ever seen. Awful movie.

It's not dead yet. But when they run out of ideas then it will be dead. Which will be 5 years from now probably.

I was never a big player of video games. I had a select few I would play on a regular basis (Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Super Mario Bros., Need for Speed), but other than that I just wasn't all that interested. The most recent video game I played on a regular basis was Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, which was quite a while ago.

I am calling it now, no US release will cross 500 million again at the US box office again Too many streaming services Too many same day/date releases on streaming services/cinemas People got used 2 watching new movies from their couches Meanwhile in China The Battle at Lake Changjin just past 870 million dollars. Expect China to give us the first billion dollar grossing movie from a single country. Not even the upcoming Spider-Man movie?

I'm just glad that "X-Men: Apocalypse" (2016) - an epic and brilliant superhero movie - crossed the 500 million dollars mark (543.9 million dollars) and was a big hit all over the world, outgrossing Shang-Chi and Black Widow.
The X-Men movie franchise was the best of the best. Bleak, intense, intelligent and very "sci-fi-like". Blows the MCU and its cartoonish quality away.
Now, the superhero trend is 100% over, and the cinema experience is super-dead (sadly). Thank God, we have the home video releases. Must buy the new X-Men box-set. Venom 2 is about to make $400M despite mediocre reviews. I think people still want to see superhero movies.

I'm glad. Another superhero movie that will not surpass "Apocalypse" despite the hype.

The cinema experience in the USA is officially dead but the repetitive thread experience on IMDB2 lives forever. I thought the cinema experience was buying a ticket, going in and sitting down for 2 hours or so, then going home. Popcorn option. And as far as I know, the cinemas are up and running. I wonder what his cinema experience is?

Never thought China would eclipe the US so quick Never thought there could be so many threads about bullshit about cinema dying, but yet there’s one from you. Looks the Chinese can now afford the “cinema experience” too. And with 3 billion available eyes in China vs the USA’s 600 million, who do they think capitalist Hollywood is going to cater to? And it is the fans who so sweat bullets over the box office.

Theaters aren’t going anywhere. Please stop with these threads please!!! Why do people want theaters to die so badly???To add to their petty complaints basket.

Next year most movies won’t be same day streaming. They’re already headed towards that this year. I'm glad. That will give me more incentive. Before 2020 I was seeing around 30 movies at the cinema per year. Do you go to the Thursday midnight openings?
