Isn't Lightyear a long-con to get rid of Tim Allen because he's a Republican? I can't tell if Chris Evans' Buzz is supposed to be the "real person" who inspired the action figure, of if Lightyear the movie is a movie-within-a-movie. If it's the latter, I don't see why Allen (or Hanks) can't reprise since presumably the actors who play Buzz and Woody in the Toy Story universe would also lend their voice to the merchandise.
But say I had a gun to my head and couldn't pick Hanks: some western regular like Timothy Olyphant or Kurt Russell.
