I watched The French Dispatch late Sunday... certainly will need another 2-3 home viewings to marinate it more, + commentary.

1. The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou ...my #8 all-time, I love every last thing about it.

2. Rushmore... my #42 all-time, crackling fun.

3. Moonrise Kingdom... great child performances, superb adult ones. Summery vibe is always welcome.

4. The Grand Budapest Hotel... brilliant performances, visuals, & fun story.

5. Bottle Rocket... gets better with age, quaint & personable.

6. The Darjeeling Ltd.... lighter weight, yet a fun road movie.

7. The French Dispatch... perhaps Wes' greatest visual mural, alas I do miss pop music overtures.

8. Fantastic Mr. Fox... great dialogue, & some snappy visuals.

9. The Royal Tenenbaums... I think I just never loved its NYC tone for any tv/film/book.

10.Isle of Dogs... Very good, alas it needed more humans to root for.

5-9 are all due for a rewatch and I feel like some of them could grow on me.

I see the appeal for others but his films I really cant get into with the exception of Rushmore. I enjoyed that film.
