Some people wanted more cookie-cutter MCU stuff despite years of complaining that the movies all felt the same.
Some people were acting in bad faith, trashing the movie because the multicultural cast and gay characters made them feel like they were being discriminated against as straight white men.
Some people just like to bandwagon, and once a few bad reviews came out, they had to pile on.
