There was a few threads on these boards I started up but that was for the announcement of the new Twin Peaks  . A Sub-Board would be nice but IMPO - it seems this new series would not be on long enough and sadly not a huge fan base for this show here either  . Falconia was this the page you were referring to ? Redditt Twin Peaks Page I'm actually not familiar with this one . |

It's not hard to understand at all. Even if the pilot consists of David Lynch pooping on the floor and rolling around in it for 2 hours the pseudo intellectual branch of his fan base will proclaim it brilliant and swear they understand exactly what Lynch is saying.
Since Lynch is writing and directing many (all?) of the new episodes I hope it's not that self indulgent garbage he's been prone to give us lately. I've grown weary of Lynch lazily piecing together nonsensical scenes that go nowhere because he knows morons desperate to appear clever will say it's AAAAMMMMAAAZZZZZZZING and eagerly slurp his balls.

I loved it. The original was okay, but it's almost as if in that one Lynch was limited by the technology of that era. Those limits have been removed in the new pilot which is up to date and elegant with a big-money, blockbuster feel. Not having been such a big fan of the original, I really wasn't expecting it to be this good and was blown away. This one's a hit for Lynch.  |

Normally I can't stand that stuff. I was just giving my perspective, as a viewer who wasn't really into the original series (watched all of them only recently for the first time), compared to how I felt about the pilot which aired tonight. |

Additional clarification for the easily confused:
In the original series, Lynch was ahead of his time and likely limited by that era's available technology in what he was trying to do/portray. With the advancements in technology, he has the tools he needs today.
