Loved 'em. It's obvious this is really one big movie because obscure plot points aren't revisited until later episodes. It may have worked better with the netflix model but Lynch wanted it this way for his own reasons. Also lol at Michael Cera's character. Classic Peaks!  Are the songs at the end of each eppy released yet? |

I specifically said I hoped it WOULD NOT be bad. I still hope it can be salvaged. It's telling that several of you obviously feel like my comments were spot on about you personally yet you're angry at me. How crazy of me to want a series that is at least semi coherent, right? It's so much better to follow the example of the giddy fanboys lower my expectations and standards and just lick Lynch's asshole clean because he rewarded us with yet 2 more hours (so far) of static and goofy images that not even he could explain into a sane storyline. "Oh wow man more weird rooms that mean nothing." "Gosh he's Bob or whatever." "Oh my gawd was that a dwarf or ugggggh I just nutted."
I enjoyed re-watching the original over the last few days and the tagline for this new season had me thinking Lynch was actually putting some thought into this but NOTHING so far would make a honest person think that at all. I'm not mad because several of you have low standards so why cry because mine aren't?
It seems like there are people here eager to prove everything I said in my earlier posts 100% correct. Like I said I'm seldom wrong. I'll watch a few more episodes and hopefully it will get better. I would say it can't get any worse than the mishmash of rehashed images we were handed tonight but one thing Lynch has proven over the last few years is he can always lower the bar. You fanboys are part of the reason Lynch gets away with it.

I haven't watched the original series, but decided to give the new one a try. I could hardly make it through EP 1 and went no further after it ended. I may give episodes 2, 3 and 4 a try tonight, but I have a feeling it will be a waste of my time.
Poelzig may be a pompous ass, but he has some valid points.

Awesome show, but you need to watch the ABC series in order to understand what's going on. But for sheer weirdness and creativity, this is hard to beat.

I haven't seen the third and fourth episodes as of yet but, so far, it's not too bad. It's not too good either.
I'm on the fence about it. It's hard to judge something based off of two episodes out of eighteen.
I'll grant them this though; it's a heck of a lot better than Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me (1992). If it wasn't for Ray Wise, I probably would have avoided it entirely.

Let's not even talk about comic-book fans, you know there are some that consider MCU to be the greatest achievement in film-making. i actually feel sorry... About Twin Peaks, it's too early to tell after just 4 episodes. i like it, but then again when i watch a David Lynch movie i don't expect it to make sense, i expect to be transported into a nightmare-like world, and Lynch is the best for that |

I really like Twin Peaks Season 1, but yeah, Season 3 seems to be just grotesque absurdist nonsense. If there was some kind of point, a payoff at the end, I would stick around, but then this is Lynch. As much as I like his normal work, his surreal stuff leaves me completely disconnected and uninterested.
I have no idea why he chooses to do projects like this, and what in the world people like about them, but to each his own.
