The Wizard of Oz was really close to making it, been decades since I saw it so should make the effort to rewatch it, can see it going up in my esteem. I liked The Hunchback of Notre Dame as well, but remember nothing of it sadly, another film for my way to large rewatch pile. Regards Wizard of Oz; Considering color just came about using black and white also in one film was so innovative. Not to mention the acting was amazing, Judy Garland of course, but Margaret Hamilton still gives me chills as the witch! Agreed, the colour is fantastic, though Gone with the Wind and especially The Four Feathers are quite stunning visually as well. Of course, The Wizard of Oz is helped further by the fantastical and now legendary set design, and it is probably the most impressive colour film of the year.
