I liked (in no particular order):
Stop Touching Me There (1983) Am I Supposed to be This Itchy? (1988, funny comedy with Ted Bessel) Psychic Spleen (1986) Pain in the Arse (1984, British comedy) Bulging Bananas (1982, comedy starring Carol Burnett and Alan Alda) 39 and Dead Forever (1981, inspirational bio-pic of Jack Benny) Sit on it, Richie! (1985--special starring the Happy Days cast) Why Must I Pee? (1988--psychological drama with Meredith Baxter) Wind the Cat and Put Out the Clock! (1987, starring Mickey Rooney in an Emmy-nominated performance) Dicksucking Shadows (1980. What happens when a gay vampire moves in next door?) Taste the Fudge of Dracula (1989. Christopher Lee has a cooking show). Planet of the Pies (1982 - starring a very young Dennis Quaid) Happy Deathday! (1981 - horror flick starring Ruth Roman, Glenn Ford, Lynn Redgrave, and--as the killer--the dumb kid who falls down the hill in Little House on the Prairie)

There are a bunch of Anthony Hopkins made for TV movies released in the 80s. These I've seen and are worthy...
Peter and Paul (1981) A Married Man (1983) Guilty Conscience (1985) The Tenth Man (1988)

I just remembered two more tv movies that I liked: Trapped - some people trapped in a high-rise office building with a killer inside Control - a group of people in a nuclear shelter are made to believe that a real nuclear war is taking place
I had to look these two up because I couldn't remember the titles: Invitation To Hell - Susan Lucci playing a demonic woman Killer In The Mirror - Ann Jillian playing identical twins, one of whom is murderous

Mostly adaptations of novels and plays.
1. Death of a Salesman (1985) - Magnificent performance by Dustin Hoffman in this Arthur Miller play. 2. Miss Marple: The Murder at the Vicarage (1986) - Joan Hickson remains the best Miss Marple. They did the twelve novels. 3. The Tragedy of Richard III (1983) - The BBC versions of Shakespeare's plays remain close to the original. 4. The First Time (1982) - Drama about a girl on the run, with a young Jennifer Jason Leigh. 5. The Hound of the Baskervilles (1983) - Adaptation of the classic detective novel with Ian Richardson as Sherlock Holmes. 6. Uncle Tom's Cabin (1987) - Adaptation of Harriet Beecher Stowe's novel about slavery. 7. Goeie Buren (1987) - Dutch farce with Piet Bambergen, translation of Ray Cooney's Run for Your Wife.

I'll second The Day After.
And one of my favorites is The Rape of Richard Beck starring Richard Crenna. The title may put people off of it, but it's really amazing how well they were able to drive home the message of a cop of all people being the victim of a violent rape and he sees first hand what the victims he hasn't been too sympathetic towards go through, and how well they were able to do that without showing anything. I think it does a better job than most attempts done in TV today, and it's really a movie that everybody needs to see.

I like the George C. Scott adaptation of A Christmas Carol. Policewoman Centerfold is a guilty pleasure of mine.

The 1988 Jack The Ripper, with Michael Caine. Excellent every step of the way even if the viewer disagrees, as I do, with the Big Reveal. It's very well made, and the acting is first class.
