Best sequel since Judgement Day. Was really surprised how much I enjoyed this one. Great villain too. Loved when he’d split into two.

Any sequel that kills off John Connor isn't the best since anything.

After T3 anything goes. It's a decent enough sequel, although I still like to pretend the series finished at T2.

I really dislike it and is probably my least favorite of the franchise.
It really just retreads T2, has a bunch of unlikable characters, too much unconvincing cgi, destroys the ending of T2 and the T-800 is just laughable here. The movie lacks suspense, the villain is completely forgettable and the directing is below average. I don't even care much for Linda Hamilton in the movie.
The positives are the highway chase scene and Arnold is always fun to watch. The scenes with the T-800 are both the best and worst scenes in the movie. His backstory is ridiculous.
The main issue is this movie retreading the same story for the 3rd time. Terminator 3 already does something similar to Dark Fate, where it throws out the ending of T2 and makes up a new reason why the story is happening again. Terminator 3 is still relatively entertaining though, which Dark Fate is not.
Genisys is as convoluted as any movie I have ever seen and is badly directed and acted, but at least it tries something different.
4/10

Still Keeps John Connor alive and doesn't make the T-800 in a relationship and making drapes. T3 has much more fun action too. I also edited and added "fool me once."

You and I are a small minority here, Marv. Granted, I didn't love it or anything, but a halfway watchable Terminator movie in 28 years is something.

I don’t think it holds a candle to the first one…and I wouldn’t say it’s as good as T2 either…but it’s the first Twrminator movie since T2 that I would enjoy watching again.

James Cameron says Dark Fate is the "true third film"...even though he said the same thing about Genysis.

But enough about Terminator 3. Still Keeps John Connor alive and doesn't make the T-800 in a relationship and making drapes. T3 has much more fun action too. I also edited and added "fool me once." Dark Fate really needed Nick Stahl whining like a pussy. A Terminator making a life for itself after completing its mission is at least an innovative idea. Not so much infiltrating a male strip club and saying "talk to the hand" in Elton John glasses. The action is kind of a tossup for me. I do find the new Terminator vastly cooler than the TX.

I dislike both, but had more fun watching Terminator 3. I also really like the ending of T3, where it says they aren't trying to stop Judgment Day (because the can't at this point), but are just going to wait it out in a bunker. The Terminator making a life for itself is an interesting idea, but poorly handled imo. Not sure they could do that in any way that I wouldn't find humorous. The strip club scene and the sunglasses gag are terrible. I am not going to defend those scenes at all. I am not going to argue much about 2 movies I dislike.

Why would a different AI in a different future build the same model of Terminators?

Why would a different AI in a different future build the same model of Terminators? It’s not the same model.
