I thought it was pretty bad. Toss up between it and Genisys for worst of the series for me.

Carl sent the texts. In the same time. Then how did he get the info from the other timeline? He could sense the shockwave before it happened. Him being a terminator and all.

Why would a different AI in a different future build the same model of Terminators? It’s not the same model. You are right, but the same scenario is happening again and the terminators are very similar. It is like "how far can we stretch this franchise before it is stretched so thin it breaks?" Dark Fate is the answer. Now we are going to kill John Connor and say that a new apocalyptic future happens involving the same scenario with similar cyborgs to kill a character that is meant to be the new savior. The bad guy is basically just the TX from Terminator 3 but can split itself into other terminators.

They don’t get into the engineering of them, but this model the Rev 9 has different strengths and weaknesses than the T-800 and T-1000.

If the movie was actually entertaining or had any shred of originality to it, that wouldn't be an issue at all. I take that back. Making the Terminator into a 70 year old drape designer in the most bizarre relationship imaginable is original. It is cringe-inducing, but it is original.

It's better than Salvation and Genisys but basically T3 if Sarah and John had switched roles. Still enjoyed it for what it was.
