did you ever buy the album nursery cryme. And the copy didn't have any lyrics with it... so then you went ahead and looked up the lyrics and then wrote them all down, as well as the liner notes?
Because that way you would appreciate the music maybe?
That's what i did, but i wrote them down 20 years after i bought it , at some store.

No, though that's my favorite Genesis album.
When lyrics started to be posted online, ASCAP and BMI, I believe, tried to get lyrics sites shut down and were successful initially. Then I guess they gave up, or lost a lawsuit.

Without digging my copy out I'm pretty sure the lyrics are printed on the inner gatefold sleeve so don't really understand your problem. Second best Genesis for me, "Selling England..." always comes first.

Well, there’s your first problem; you buy music then look for poetry. %) I remember liking Dylan songs, then getting a book of his lyrics from the library and thinking, "Why is this considered so good?" I guess I've come around.
