Just catching some old Keanu movies that I haven’t seen or that I haven’t seen in a long time (to rev myself up for the fourth Matrix movie in a few weeks)… I got this movie from 1995 and the first thing that comes up on the screen to give a time frame for the movie is….. INTERNET 2021Oh geez!!! Ok, I’m going to watch this now. It’s happening in our year. Good thing I didn’t wait until January 1, 2022.

I remember it being a pretty bad movie.

So how does it portray the internet in the year 2021? If everyone is a partisan whiner that spews propaganda from online entertainment personalities who profit off of outrage, I'll be very impressed.

Pretty damn silly. But it does have its moment. Like whenever Keanu hacks into the internet and we're treated to laughable fx depicting the information highway or when Dolph Lundgren gets killed by a dolphin. And the villain's laser whip is pretty badass.

So according to this movie, the internet looks like Coruscant when you traverse through it.

I feel like it’s one of those movies that could have been much better if it had better people making it.
