It's a crime movie set in Detroit, Michigan in 1954. It's directed by Steven Soderbergh. It's a movie I'd recommend to anyone who likes American crime cinema.
It's edged ahead of 'American Traitor : The Trial Of Axis Sally' (2021) in my movie list for 2021.

Glad you enjoyed it, but I wasn’t real impressed by it. My expectations may have been too high, but I thought it was too bland and too safe to really make an impact.

Thanks. I saw a lot of middle of the road, average reviews online before watching this movie so I had low expectations. I spoke with a friend today who's a driver and he told me he loved it and was surprised to find someone else did too. We think we must be typical old men who were looking for an old school crime movie with old school direction.
I felt the satirical elements and topical issues were nailed on and will age the movie well, I loved the genre casting (Brendan Fraser knocked me for 6), the use of the signature distorted fish-eye style panning lens was music to my ears, and it just all came together, at least for me.

I thought it was a mixed bag.. but if a mess but some interesting stuff, doubt it will make my top 10 of the year

The only thing I didn’t like was the fisheye-like camera lensing.
