For an off topic subject-- Where is the most beautiful place in the world for you---that you have been in during your life (excluding your own home and property)?

Denali National Park and Preserve (formerly known as Mount McKinley National Park) Beautiful place. It looks very similar to my favorite. I haven't seen it, but I have been to Alaska. I just finished James Mitchner's Alaska in which Denali is mentioned. Great novel...

There was a state park in California I once went to- can't remember it's name- it had it all: super greenfield hills like Ireland, deciduous trees trees Maine, tall pines, distant snow capped mountains, flowing winding streams like West Virginia. It was somewhere in the middle of the state between LA and SF. I thought I died on the narrow road through the Redwoods and was delivered there. Waited two hours for Rod Serling.

The "Blue Ridge Mountains" region of the USA... Specifically in West Virginia, Virginia, & North Carolina... My Dad's parents lived in NW North Carolina, before they died... and every year when I was a kid, we would travel the highways to go see them... We would go through Charleston, West Virginia... ...travel South on the West Virginia Turnpike (I-64/I-77)... ...and continuing with I-77 through Virginia and driving through East River Mountain Tunnel... ...& Big Walker Mountain Tunnel... ...to get to Wytheville, Virginia... ...From there we could take a couple different routes involving US Roads/State Roads or the Blue Ridge Parkway... ...to head WSW to get to Jefferson, NC in the NW corner of the state of NC. It's the most beautiful scenery I've ever seen in my life...

I do love The Drakensburg, but it is just one of the many astonishingly beautiful places in South Africa.

It's the most beautiful scenery I've ever seen in my life... We once lived in Richmon, VA Once we took the trip from Charlottsville to the Cumberland Gap on the way to TN. I remember that the thing the impressed me the most was the Blue Ridge Mountains as we drov through them on the interstate.
