I'm a great pool player. The long shots don't bother me that much. Tough to get used to the tight pockets but it's the same principle
I'd give a year of my life to meet Ronnie O'Sullivan. Piss on Mosconi, piss of Reyes, piss on Hendry or White, he's the greatest man with a cue in history

I messed around with Snooker a tiny bit before. A pool hall I played at had a couple tables. Just messing around, I didn't even know the sequence of shooting the colors at the end. I started taking it a bit more seriously, needed a challenge. So I invested in a table. Like I said, same basic principles, angles, English, force and planning ahead. And I grew up shooting on a regulation pool table, not a tiny "bar table" so the distance wasn't that scary. The tighter pockets were though.
I watch a lot on YouTube. A lot less "combination shots" and a lot less banking.

He had a pool table and I found out that I could rehab my legs by stumping around the table, using a cue and the table for balance. So I spent 6-8 hours a day shooting the balls around. I learned to walk again and I got good. Mostly playing "straight" 14-1 pool. When I was 19, I won a nine ball tournament and one of the perks was the winner got to play five games against a top pro, Johnny Archer. It was supposed to be a learning experience, Archer would take it easy on you and give you pointers. I beat him 4-1. He told me I could have turned pro right then and there but I made promised to finish college. I still shoot quite a bit, mostly snooker now. I want the century break
