mick foley originally planned to retire at survivor series of 99 instead of retiring at no way out 2000.
wwf was already down on stars at that time austin and taker were both sidelined with injurys foley was still under his mankind person at survivor series 99 if he had retired at survivor series we wouldve never seen him return as catcus jack

The beginning of 2000 would've been much different for sure. Triple H may have had to wrestle The Rock a lot sooner if he was to have the same success he had with Mick Foley. Otherwise his title reign probably wouldn't have meant as much because he didn't have the same chemistry with the other wrestlers he had with Mick Foley and The Rock. I mean, I suppose he probably could've kept up a big feud with Test for a little while, since they would've been fighting over the future of the McMahon family as well as the future of the company as a result.

It's interesting how Foley helped get HHH ready for The Rock, just like he got The Rock ready for Stone Cold. I don't know if there was anyone else in the WWF at the time that could've done that as well as Foley did.
