youtu.be/-X2C3BpwO6UGet ready for a very “soapy” holiday! Following the success of Peacock’s Days of our Lives limited series Beyond Salem, the popular daytime soap is back for a brand-new original holiday movie, A Very Salem Christmas, which debuts on the NBCUniversal streamer on December 16. “Days of our Lives: A Very Salem Christmas follows Will Horton (Chandler Massey) as he writes a screenplay before his Christmas Eve deadline,” states the film’s description. “Using everyone’s favorite feel-good holiday movie tropes, he creates a festive story based on his family and friends in Salem -but with several twists and turns you’ll never see coming.” Helping his husband out with the screenplay, Sonny (Zach Tinker) tells Will, “All the best Christmas movies always take place in quaint, little towns full of Mom-and-Pop shops and lots of holiday cheer.” The trailer gives fans a glimpse at what Will’s story has in store for the characters, from John (Drake Hogestyn) in a relationship with Kristen (Eileen Davidson) to Paulina (Jackée Harry) sporting a new hair color and Nick Fallon’s (Blake Berris) return from the dead. Sonny then notes that most Christmas movies are love stories, to which Will adds, “What’s a good love story without some twists and turns?” While all seems “merry and bright” in the town of Salem, Will’s “twists and turns” will place some of the fictional residents in hard situations. “We’re going to need some help down here. Maybe even a Christmas miracle,” pleads Marlena (Deidre Hall). Returning for the holiday special are cast members Alison Sweeney, Camila Banus, Ari Zucker, Raven Bowens, Eric Martsolf, Billy Flynn, Paul Telfer, Lindsay Arnold, Lucas Adams, Carson Boatman, Greg Rikaart, and Dan Feuerriegel. Produced by Corday Productions, in association with Sony Pictures Television, the festive film comes from executive producer Ken Corday with co-executive producer Albert Alarr and head writer Ron Carlivati. “Merry freaking Christmas!” Kristen ends the trailer. Days of our Lives: A Very Salem Christmas, Movie Premiere, Thursday, December 16, Peacock

Nick and Gabi are a couple?! Interesting...I hope we will get to watch up here in Canada.
I am curious about Sydney's age...she seems so little.
John and Kristen running an inn looks amazing.

It definitely has a Hallmark Christmas film vibe to it. But, it should be fun and hopefully is much better than Beyond Salem. I also think it’s hysterical how they’re revisiting the Xander and Leo flirtation.

I had to chuckle at the idea that Alison didn't realize she was a Days special when she filmed it; and just like, one of 500 Hallmark movies she's churned out this year.

LOL there have been several current and past Salemites popping up in Hallmark movies this year! I have watched ones with Alison, Chandler Massey, and Casey Deidrick! Hallmark Christmas movies are my guilty pleasure!

I just recently watched Next Stop Christmas on Hallmark. Chandler was very good in it. He was definitely the guy you were rooting for. I thought that Lyndsy Fonseca was really bad in it. I didn’t feel any warmth or depth to her character. Otherwise, it was really cute. I hope this Christmas Days Movie does well. I like how they’re doing these other Days projects and bringing in characters that aren’t on the show. I really want Will and Nu-Sonny back on the show. I think it could be very good if Sonny became CEO of Titan again and had to go head to head with EJ. Could also cause a little friction between him and Chad. It would then be great to see Will interact more with his family and Gabi. There’s a lot of potential there.

I really liked that Christmas movie, it was one of the better ones this year. It was nice to see Chandler in something else.
I agree bringing Will and Sonny back would be great. I would like to see Sonny more involved in Kiriakis/Titan stuff. It makes no sense Jake and Gabi are in that orbit with Victor.
