IMDb discontinued the incredibly helpful Character Names listings .... what is a good place to use now ?
Their listing of what actors played the same character in which movies was useful in many applications and its removal is puzzling / unforgivable .

Wikipedia does index names of fictional characters, though it's hit or miss on what you'll find ... sometimes an article on the character, sometimes just the work of fiction (movie, book, video game) the character appears in. The more obscure the character, the less likely you'll find useful information.

In the dictionary next to "hit and miss" they should have a picture of Mr / Ms Wiki ... When looking up a real person sometimes they list where they were portrayed but the made up characters, not so much. The 13's with "Characters named ..." ** are difficult but some players seem to have a phenomenal memory for characters names in films. ** "..." appeared as a bit player in several silent films.
