We’ll be having chicken broth, turkey with boiled and roast potatoes, brussels sprouts, parsnips, carrots, pigs in blankets, bread sauce, cranberry sauce followed by sherry trifle.
Anyone having ham or something more left field?

Not being a fan of Turkey (sorry guys, I'm not being racist), I'll have some brisket with carrots, sprouts, onions accompanied by a Cabernet Sauvignon, Casillero del Diablo, then some choc cake and cream. All the Xmas cake in Tesco, had gone by 10.30 this morning

We used to do the whole 7 fish deal. Now:
-Fried shrimp
-Fried Flounder
-Calamari & Scungilli salad
-Antipasto
-Rice Balls
-Chicken Parm
-Lasagna with meatballs, sausage, & brociole
-Various Italian pastries/cookies

Also known as Charsiu, comes with rice and 1 house-made soya sauce. Roasted in our walk-in oven throughout the day!

If a meal was mainly ham, I would have very little.

Whut iz this mysterious seven fish deal ? ? It's a big Italian-American thing, particularly in the Northeast. It's our Christmas Eve tradition. It started, I believe as a way of not having meat until Christmas day. So Christmas Eve is all about the fish. Though through the years my family incorporated meat as well. Christmas Eve dinner was always the best meal of the year!
