She died this morning, too bad she did not make it to 100. Just yesterday my husband mentioned that in a couiple weeks she would be 100 and I said "if she makes it." The last of the Golden Girls. She was a pioneer in television.

R.I.P., indeed!!
When I was little, and home "sick" (actually, or imaginary), my favorite part of the day was watching "Life with Elizabeth." It aired in the middle of the day, and starred Elizabeth (Betty White), and her husband Alvin (Del Moore), with Jack Narz as "the announcer," who would introduce each of the three "episodes," (skits) that applied to their lives.
Jack Narz, would also speak to Elizabeth, in voice over. She wouldn't audibly "speak," back to him. But, she would acknowledge his comments, with a nod/shake of her head, or a brief pantomime.
When she first appeared as Sue Ann Nivens, on The Mary Tyler Moore Show, I knew that they had found a gold-mine in casting her.
A beautiful, bright, caring and quick-witted woman!
We're lucky to have had her for as long as we did.
