Richmond catches Davidson in it's web and wins the A10. Good game. That "pop" you heard was someone's bubble bursting. Xavier, Notre Dame, Wyoming, Michigan? ESPN says A&M was the last team in before the A10 but I think they did enough, beating Auburn and Arkansas. I don't think Michigan should be anywhere near the NCAA. Michigan is barely above .500, I don't understand why they were projected as in. They better be out.

But the ACC is a mediocre conference this year. Irish only big non-conference win was Kentucky, in South Bend. I would give the ACC three bids and the 3rd just because Virginia Tech won the tournament. I think Duke will be the only team that wins a game. And they could even get beat. They lost their first game in 2014 (Mercer) and 2012 (Lehigh).

Two games left, all four in the tournament. Big 10 final, Iowa v. Purdue. AAC final, Houston v. Memphis.
Memphis looking great in the Memphis State throwbacks. Shades of Keith Lee and Baskerville Holmes (what a great name!)

Va Tech beats Duke to win the ACC!! Awesome to see Duke lose, any day Duke loses is a glorious day!! I think I'm the only one here who likes Duke. Love them, no. I don't have a "I'm a Cameron Crazie" shirt or a Bobby Hurley jersey. I do have a slight connection to Duke. My brother played HS basketball with Christian Laettner. And I strongly dislike the North Carolina Tar Heels.
The enemy of my enemy is my friend
I like Duke. I also like Carolina. I can do that as I have no connection to either school, I just like watching programs with a history of great players. Speaking of great programs (ok, great for the level of competition in the America East Conference), it was fun watching Vermont win their conference tournament yet again yesterday. From the days of Taylor Coppenrath and TJ Sorrentine, to Marqus Blakely, to now with Ben Shungu, UVM represents everything great about small program success in division I. UVM's upset of Syracuse in 2005 remains one of my favorite tournament games of all time. Germain Mopa Njila had the game of his life, and Sorrentine hit that epic deep three down the stretch to help seal the victory. I don't know if I've ever had as much fun watching a first round game.

All I have is the nebulous connection to Laettner. I'm sure he wouldn't know me from Adam. He might remember my brother. I thought his sister was hot and wanted my brother to tighten me up with her, but that went nowhere. I just hate UNC because they wee always on TV and, when they were on, it was Dean Smith's "Four Corners". Two or three CBB games and one was those Powder Blue Assholes passing the ball for 35 minutes. Illogical, no doubt. Wasn't Dean's idea to have no shot clock. But I was a kid. And I thought Dean Smith was a smug prick. He clothed himself in "Nice Guy Dean" but he was a 24 karat prick.
Vermont could make some noise this year. 28-5, only one loss since December 7th, an OT loss to Hartford on the road. Great guard in Ben Shungu and a scoring forward in Ryan Davis. They could be a Sweet 16 if they get a good draw.

We're hosting the Sweet 16 / Elite 8 too
Wanted 'Nova / Delaware in the East - way to give us a middle finger folks
Have 'Nova / Delaware play each other in the 1st Round - with neither getting a shot to play in Philly

Texas A&M got ass raped IMO, they should’ve gotten in, they are a better team than Michigan and Rutgers.

Texas A&M got ass raped IMO, they should’ve gotten in, they are a better team than Michigan and Rutgers. As far as the rankings, they were borderline. #42 at NET, #43 at KenPom. At KenPom, it's right on the at large border. Teams above are Michigan State, Davidson and USC. Right below Utah State and Mississippi State. I would have put them in over Michigan, Rutgers and Notre Dame. A&M beat Notre Dame in November.
EDIT: Biggest omission by rankings is Oklahoma. #40 at NET, #30 at KenPom. 18-15 but the Big XII was brutal this year.
