I think they definitely had issues... But they were good scapegoats. I think I read Hair found in one of the boys shoelaces belonged to his Step-dad? And he was a possible suspect.
Always wondered what the deal was with the bloody man at the fast food restaurant... But it's been a really long time since I read up on the case.

I'd never heard about this case, last year at Dollar Tree I found a DVD, Lost Paradise 3: Purgatory, and I just got around to watching it yesterday.
People today still think they're guilty, but we know people are going to believe what they want to believe. But you look at the whole fucking circus, the same judge resides for every appeal, oh big surprise he won't allow ANY new evidence. You got an 'occult specialist' with a mail order PhD who never took a single class on the subject and weigh his opinion as being more credible than John E. Douglas, THE best criminal profiler the FBI ever had, what the FUCK? Get people on the stand saying you can have black hair, you can paint your nails black, you can wear black T-shirts, but when you do all three together AND listen to heavy metal, then you're satanists, what the hell?
But all I can say is God help ANYBODY who gets accused of murdering children, it could be a 90 year old nun, put her at the defense table and hand out pictures to the jury of 3 naked mutilated 8 year old boys, you don't have a chance in hell of getting acquitted.

There are two kinds of people, those who believe they're innocent (at least of the murder), and those with some weird agenda.

Those, who believe they are innocent, are usually only superficially informed about the case.

I have always assumed they were guilty.

For example, because all three have confessed their crimes, one of them even several times on different occasions.

Leonard Peltier is another one, these celebrity defenders would feel pretty dumb if they found out they were all guilty.
