Lee Harvey Oswald and ONLY Lee Harvey Oswald did it. It's the solution that crosses the most "t's and dots the most "i's". His gun, his prints, his building. He shot a Dallas PD officer minutes later, he would have fried for that. If he was innocent, why? I've said it before, he was a man with nothing to lose. His marriage was over, he had been laughed at by the only thing he ever loved, Marxism. He was a mean spirited, wife beating loser in a dead end job, jealous of his brother and resentful of his mother. I think he seen that Kennedy was passing right in front of him and said "A blow for Marxist Cuba! Why not?" Boring I know Yep. Often the simplest answer is the right one.

So... the one guy who wanted to kill JFK, that day, just happened to work in a building, that the motorcade just happened to be passing by?...
Or did someone set up that route, to pass by the place where Oswald worked?
Oswald, could have fired shots down on the car as it came towards him, or while it was directly below him... But, he waits until it passes his location and is accelerating and moving away from him?... And then opens fire, where the car is at the one place, where it would have been the best place to kill JFK with multiple shooters?
And, as gun experts always say... The first shot will always be the best shot, because the gun is already loaded and ready to fire, and you have time to take a good aim at your target, before they realize they are under attack.
AND HE MISSES!
But the other two RAPID shots, happened when the car was further away, hit their targets... with the "third" being the fatal head shot... All those wounds, from two shots, that came from a man who was scrambling to reload, re-target, and then pull the trigger as fast as he could... But his first shot missed?
If Oswald was the lone gunman, and everything just happened to be a series of coincidences... Then he was one very lucky SOB, to actually kill JFK that day.

Oswald, could have fired shots down on the car as it came towards him - Of course, he had to aim through a Secret Service agent and Governor Connelly to get a bead on Kennedy.
scrambling to reload, re-target, and then pull the trigger as fast as he could. You don't have to "re-target" to hit a moving target. You put the sights on the target and move the rifle in synch with the target. It's easy to shoot, chamber another round and fire again. And the first shot would be the one you might miss. You adjust after a miss. And Oswald had that tree to deal with.

No, but if he were alive today, he might be a republican.

It certainly "matter's "but it is no longer the top priority for discussion or investigation. Too much has happened / is happening since.

Wow, you didn't clearly read and understand anything I had to say... He was on the sixth floor of a building and the car was directly below him on the street... He could have dropped a "water balloon" out the window and it would have easily landed on Kennedy's head... There was no one and no trees in the way of shooting JFK, at that moment... But no, he doesn't try to take the easy kill... He waits until the shot get more complicated, and if he misses, more complicated shot after shot... I've fired multiple rounds from a M-16 on semi-automatic at a non-moving paper target... and I had to make sure to re-aim it towards the target each time, before I pulled the trigger... and there were no obstructions between me and the target to worry about... With the recoil from the shot, and having to manually re-load each shot after the first with THAT rifle... That rifle was moving all over the place in between shots... And perhaps by then, people and trees were getting in the way too... He had to have had to re-aim that weapon at JFK, who was in a moving car, and was getting further away... And the third shot was less than eight seconds after the first, If recall correctly... He didn't have any time to adjust his gunsight, if it even had one... It's incredible that he hit anything after his first shot, and as well as he supposedly did. Still, as I said, his first shot SHOULD have been the best of the three, and he should not have missed... However, maybe a tree did get in the way... Maybe it didn't... I guess we'll never know for sure.

Wow, an insult. OK Captain Smug.
A 6.5mm rifle IS NOT a fucking M16. What recoil?
People in the way? He was six stories above the motorcade. Never noticed anyone floating around Dealey Plaza.
Directly below him? I guess he could have leaned all the way out the window and shot JFK through the top of his head.
And did you learn the shoot in the USMC? Oswald did. learned to shoot well.
But I can see this conspiracy horseshit means more to you. Yep, you know something we don't know. How cool are you?

Shooting downward with a rifle is actually a terrible strategy. As the target gets closer, the angle gets lower. It's much more difficult to aim a rifle downwards towards an incoming target from below, than one that's moving away.
Just because the first shot is the best shot, doesn't mean it's an automatic hit. People miss even if they take their time. And they hit even on a wild shot. It happens.
And no, it wasn't luck because he planned it.

People tend to believe conspiracy because they can't believe an utter nobody like Lee Harvey Oswald could shoot the most powerful man on Earth. But it happened before. Yes, Gavrilo Princip had help, but not on June 28th, 1914. He got help from the Black Hand in Serbia. And there were other assassins in Sarajevo but they didn't assist each other. Princip had a cheap small .32 pistol. And he needed a ton of good luck. Yet with two shots, he killed the heir to Austria-Hungary and his wife. And changed the world. A small consumptive 19 year old kid might have been the person who changed the world the most, non-religious category.
