The scene I remember vaguely is the victim being handcuffed to a rail in a swimming pool and being killed. Watched it on VHS
Late 70s or early 80s, serial killer/exploitation type film

Are you sure it's not "The Prowler"? A woman is stabbed while swimming. But not handcuffed.

There is a scene sort of like that in the Bergerac series, in the episode "Second Time Around" (S7E9): www.imdb.com/title/tt0521669/"David Mason murders Ted Grob by throwing him into a swimming pool, handcuffed to a patio recliner. Jim returns to duty to solve the murder and is asked by an ex-con who believes he was framed to go back over the details of the robbery of a courier company some years earlier which has a connection with the recent death."The murderer had just been released from prison, and his motive was revenge - he had done a heist with the victim, but the victim had screwed him over, fingering him to the police. Of course, if you're from the US, you are unlikely to even have heard of Bergerac. |

Of course, if you're from the US, you are unlikely to even have heard of Bergerac. Have just discovered, looked for and actually found Bergerac ... it is strange seeing 'Tom Barnaby' so young, with a different face but the same voice and mannerisms! Have only seen a few episodes but so far  !

Remember a TV-movie from 1975 Death Among Friends, someone died in a Swimming pool, can't remember if victim was handcuffed.
