Hand the Swanson Chicken a lot growing up. The only one my mom thought was any good.

I like the Banquet Sweet and Sour chicken, its the only one I buy. My mother never bought TV dinners, she had 8 people to feed daily and 5 were males so instead she would cook like 40 pork shops, roasts (2 at a time) huge amounts of chicken etc. because it was cheaper plus she had leftovers for lunch and often for the next day's meal. We also had some sort of potatoes daily and fresh veggies. She also made a lot of soup from scratch. For us kids, hamburgers were a treat and hot dogs even a greater treat. She also did a lot of baking so store bought cookies were a treat - we would get store bought cookies whenever she went to Goldblatt's, their basement had all kinds of cookies you would buy by the pound plus the best bagels I ever had.

We rarely had TV dinners as a kid. We don't have them now, except an occasional Marie Callendar when they're on sale. We do have their pot pies though.
