Eventually, streamers are going to run out of new subscribers.

Eventually, streamers are going to run out of new subscribers. Exactly. Streaming got too big and now it’s slowly failing.

Why's it excellent news?

Because it’s showing what happens when something gets too big. Honestly Netflix needs to go. Most of what they have is crap anyway. It’s literally almost the dumping ground for movies.

They're raising their monthly price, as they always do, so that would be a contributing factor.

Netflix is garbage but it's still better than Hulu, Disney, Amazon, and HBO. Netflix is still the new content king of streaming. Even if most of it is trash.

People like trash. Not to diminish trash, I just mean people need bad TV and mindless stuff to have in the background. I actually wouldn't be surprised if Netflix's biggest competitor was Youtube, just to see cat videos and morons getting knocked out in public.

Their library is elite. Amazon Prime was superior for a while too, but recently their library has been pretty iffy.

Netflix may have a lot of junk but they always have enough good animated, sci Fi, or fantasy content to keep me watching.

I had Netflix for a few years. It allowed me to watch a lot of great shows I hadn’t seen before: Breaking Bad, Dexter, Futurama, ect. But once I was done with that there was no point in keeping it. Their original content is not worth it. I don’t honestly know why so many people throw money away on these “services” month after month as if they were essential.

Because it’s showing what happens when something gets too big. Reminds me of that South Park episode where they tear down Walmart, prop up a small mom and pop store until it's the new Walmart, then destroy that. You're next, Peacock! Its not like Netflix is monopolizing the industry like Disney. On that note, the increasingly vast and competitive amount of streaming services probably has something to do with this.

Netflix is great. Very good value for the money, at least for people who don't limit themselves to American movies and TV shows.
The business model of eternal subscriber growth obviously cannot go on forever.
